"Kyrkogården", 1996
Anita Nilsson has been among the front ranks of the swedish art world ever since her debut in the mid-sixties. With her genuine creative power she makes her tempera paintings radiate a mystic and suggestive world. The sheer joy of painting mingles together foreign landscapes and abstract rooms, and she has a certain love for fragment in which ecoes the classical ideals of ancient times.

This is a lofty and delirious painting with an exquisite touch and all the same extremely strong in content, often displaying dark and serious undertones of psychology.

And yet – this beauty! One gets the feeling of stepping into the heavenly domain of Colours.
